AM Mushroom Tonic 30 Serves: what you are buying
Two named mushroom extracts, one gram of each per serve, and a tin that lives next to the coffee.
Two Mushrooms, One Gram.
A half-teaspoon (2g) serve carries 1000mg of Cordyceps militaris extract and 1000mg of Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) extract. That is 2,000mg of extract, both species on the label.
Stirs Into Your Drink.
Unflavoured, slightly earthy, a little nutty. Stir the half-teaspoon into hot water, coffee, tea or a smoothie. No sweetener, no colour, no flavouring and no caffeine in the tin.
Thirty Serves A Tin.
The 60g tin holds 30 half-teaspoon serves, so one tin is a month at one serve a day. That works out to $1.33 a serve. The 120-serve pouch brings it down to $0.75 a serve.
What is in each serve
Two ingredients: Cordyceps extract (Cordyceps militaris) 1000mg and Lion's Mane extract (Hericium erinaceus) 1000mg per half-teaspoon (2g) serve. Nothing else is listed on the panel: no sweetener, no colour, no flavouring, and no caffeine.
- Serving Size: 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
- Servings Per Container: 30
- Cordyceps Extract (Cordyceps militaris) 1000 mg
- Lion’s Mane Extract (Hericium erinaceus) 1000 mg
- No sweeteners, colour or flavouring. No caffeine.
How To Take It
Half a teaspoon, in the morning, in whatever you already drink. That is the entire routine.
- Half A Teaspoon. Take the spoon out of the tin and level off half a teaspoon of powder. That is one 2g serve with 1000mg of each extract.
- Stir Into Something Hot. Add it to your morning drink and stir. It is slightly earthy on its own in water and close to unnoticeable in coffee. If it has clumped in the tin, break it up with the spoon first.
- Bag In, Lid On. Keep the powder in its paper bag inside the tin with the lid on. One serve a day empties the tin in 30 days.

Common questions
What do the mushrooms do?
We do not make health claims for these, and you should be wary of anyone who does. It is a food: two named mushroom extracts at a stated dose. What they are and how much is in each serve is on the label, and that is what you are paying for.
How much do I take, and when?
Half a teaspoon (2g), once a day. The AM in the name is when it is taken: in the morning, stirred into the first drink of the day.
What does it taste like?
Slightly earthy with a hint of nuttiness on its own in water. In coffee, tea or a smoothie, reviewers say they barely notice it. One reviewer mixes it with cocoa powder.
Is there any sugar or sweetener?
No. The panel lists the two extracts and nothing else. No sweetener, colour, flavouring or caffeine.
Is it gluten-free? Vegan?
The label does not carry a gluten-free or vegan badge, so we do not make either claim. The panel lists two mushroom extracts and nothing else.
Are the mushrooms organic?
The blend is labelled as organic Cordyceps and Lion's Mane. No lab report is published for this product, so it does not appear on our testing page.
How is this different from the AM Mushroom Gummies?
Same two species. The tin is 1000mg of each extract per half-teaspoon that you stir into a drink. The gummies are 100mg of each as a 10:1 extract, two pineapple gummies per serve, 60 serves a bottle at $0.67 a serve. Pick the format you will actually take every day.
Can kids take it?
No. Like everything we sell, not suitable for anyone under 18, or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you take any medication, check with your GP first.
Is there a bulk option?
Yes. The same powder comes in a 120-serve stand-up pouch for NZD 89.95, which is $0.75 a serve against $1.33 for the tin. Keep the tin and spoon and refill from the pouch.

From the NoWhey team: "Two mushroom extracts at 1000mg each, in the 60g tin that pairs with our 120-serve pouch when you want to go bigger. Half a teaspoon into whatever you already drink in the morning, and the label tells you exactly what went in."
