What Creatine Monohydrate actually does

Three outcomes - measured in your training log and your reps, not in marketing claims.

Strength, Daily

Top Sets Get Heavier.

Pure monohydrate is the form 300+ studies actually used. Three capsules daily for 4-12 weeks saturates muscle stores and builds measurable strength in your training log.

Fuller Cells

Muscles Visibly Fuller.

Saturated cells pull water in, and that cell swelling is thought to help signal muscle growth. Visual fullness shows within the first few weeks, and real hypertrophy builds over the weeks after.

Brain Saturation

Sharper Under Fatigue.

Your brain is a major creatine consumer too. Emerging studies show sharper working memory and better fatigue resistance when stores stay topped up.

Why NoWhey Monohydrate Caps vs ‘Advanced’ Capsule Forms

‘Advanced’ Capsule Forms (Ethyl-Ester, Kre-Alkalyn, etc.)
Form Of Creatine
Pure monohydrate. The exact form used in the studies that built the science.
HCL, ethyl-ester, kre-alkalyn, magnesium chelate - sold as ‘advanced’. Decades of head-to-head trials show no meaningful advantage over monohydrate. You’re paying for the chemistry textbook, not the result.
Format
Capsules. Take them with water. No shaker to wash. No scoop to lose. No taste to dread.
Powder demands a shaker, a scoop, and a wash-up - three steps that get skipped on the days your training actually needs it most.
Serves Per Bottle
400 capsules · 133 daily serves at 3 caps. Roughly 4.5 months from one bottle.
Most capsule creatines come in 60-120 cap bottles - under a month of real-dose use. You’re reordering before saturation finishes.
Cost Per Daily Serve
$29.95 for 400 caps = ~22c per daily serve. Made by us, sold direct.
Branded HCL capsules run $40-60 per bottle for fewer serves. You’re paying $1+ per serve for chemistry that doesn’t outperform the cheap form.

How Creatine Works

Every heavy rep runs on ATP. Creatine regenerates it. Diet supplies a third - three caps a day tops up muscle stores in 4-6 weeks.

  • The Engine
  • The Gap
  • The Fix
1

Heavy Sets Run On Stored ATP.

Creatine regenerates it on the fly.

Every hard set runs on ATP. Muscles store about ten seconds of it before they run out. After that, creatine phosphate regenerates ATP on the fly. More creatine stored in the muscle equals more reps with force on the bar.

2

Diet Alone Falls Short.

Only if you eat red meat every day.

Dietary creatine comes almost entirely from red meat and fish - 1-2g a day on a meat-heavy diet, near zero plant-based. Three capsules add 2.1g of pure monohydrate on top, every day - the steady daily intake food won't reliably deliver.

3

3 Caps Daily. 4-6 Weeks To Saturated.

Same monohydrate as the studies use.

Three capsules daily with water - 2.1g of pure monohydrate. Within four to six weeks, muscle stores reach saturation. Every hard set runs with full fuel: heavier top sets, last rep closer to the first. No loading, no cycling - just daily.

The most-studied supplement on earth has one job. Stop making it complicated.

Three hundred-plus studies. One conclusion: plain monohydrate, taken every day. Powder works. So does mixing, scooping, remembering whether you took it.
Three capsules. Water. Done - same monohydrate, none of the friction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why capsules and not just powder? Powder’s cheaper.

Powder is cheaper per gram, but you don’t pay in dollars - you pay in the days you skip because the shaker’s dirty or the scoop went missing. Capsules remove every decision: bottle, hand, glass of water, done. Most lifters who quit creatine don’t quit because it stopped working. They quit because the ritual cracked. Capsules close that crack.

Is this just regular monohydrate or one of the ‘advanced’ forms?

Pure monohydrate. Same form used in the 300-plus studies that built the modern creatine literature. HCL, ethyl-ester, kre-alkalyn, magnesium chelate and the rest of the ‘advanced’ line-up have been head-to-head tested against monohydrate for over a decade - none show a meaningful advantage on strength, size, or saturation. They cost more because the marketing’s harder, not because they work better.

How many capsules is one serve, and how many serves per bottle?

3 capsules per serve = 2.1g of monohydrate. 400 capsules per bottle = 133 daily serves. About 4.5 months of consistent use per bottle.

Is this vegan? What’s in the capsule shell?

The creatine itself is fermentation-derived, but the capsule shell is gelatine, which is animal-derived - so these capsules aren’t suitable for vegans. If you follow a vegan diet, our creatine powder is the way to go. Inside the capsule it’s pure monohydrate, with only magnesium stearate to help the capsule hold its shape.

How long until I actually feel anything?

Most people notice a strength bump in the gym between week 2 and week 4 - that’s the saturation window at 2.1g a day. Visual fullness in the muscles shows up in roughly the same window. Cognitive effects (sharper mental output, better resistance to mental fatigue) sit further out - that body of research is newer and the timeline’s less precise, but expect a quiet shift over the first 6-8 weeks.

Do I need to load with 20g for the first week?

No. Loading saturates muscle stores in about 5-7 days instead of 28, but the end-state is identical, and the load phase is the single biggest cause of bloat complaints. Skipping the load and just taking 2.1g a day from day one gets you to the same destination - it takes 3-4 weeks instead of one. Most lifters don’t notice the difference.

Will I bloat?

Most people don’t, at 2.1g a day with no load phase. The ‘creatine bloat’ stories almost always come from the 20g load week - your body’s flooded with more than it can use, the kidneys flush some, and the gut sees the rest. Stay at 2.1g a day, take it with water and food, and bloat is rare.

When during the day should I take it?

Whenever you’ll actually take it. Pre-workout, post-workout, with breakfast, before bed - the timing matters far less than the daily consistency. The goal is to keep muscle stores saturated. Once they’re full, the time of day is noise. Pick the moment most likely to stick.

Can I stack it with pre-workout, protein, and aminos?

Yes. Creatine doesn’t compete with stimulants, protein, or amino acids - it operates on a completely different system (ATP regeneration). Drop the capsules into whatever stack you already run. No timing conflict, no absorption clash.

Do I need to cycle off?

No. The ‘cycle on / cycle off’ advice came from decades-old gym lore about receptor downregulation that hasn’t held up in the research. Long-term studies (5+ years of daily use) consistently show no benefit to cycling. Take it daily and forget it.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

60-Day Try-It Guarantee. Use it as directed for up to two months. If you're not noticing better output in the gym or a clearer feeling of fullness in the muscle, email sales@nowheydeals.com.au on your first order and we'll make it right - store credit or a swap, or a refund if you'd prefer. Giving it a genuine go and using most of the bottle won't count against you. A small percentage of people are 'non-responders' to creatine (their muscle stores are already naturally near-saturated from diet), and the guarantee covers you if you're one of them. One claim per customer, on top of your NZ and Australian consumer-law rights.

How long does shipping take?

Australia metro orders typically arrive in 1-3 business days, regional 3-6. Flat-rate FedEx shipping from $10 standard up to $20 express with signature. Tracking on every order.

Good product, misleading packaging. States it has 133 serves in a packet, just doesn't make it clear it's counting a full serve as 2.1g. So closer to 50-60 serves per bag.
